Review of The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins

We have another fantastic review today by Aaron Kay in Year 6. He has chosen Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games.

What is the book about?

The book is about a girl who gets thrown into a sort of arena where she has to kill 23 other people to get out while they’re trying to kill her.

Who would this book be suitable for?

I think this book would be suitable for you if you’re 9+ years – so around Year 5 and upwards.

Would you recommend this book?

I would recommend this book because it keeps you interested throughout and is an all in all action-packed book.
Thanks, Aaron, for taking the time to review what sounds like a very exciting and nail-biting book! I wonder if you will read the rest in the trilogy?

Review of Match Annual 2015 by Madison Sewell

Today’s review is of the Match Annual 2015, by Year 6 pupil Madison Sewell. Maddie is a huge fan of football and was ecstatic when we got this in the Library!

What is the book about?

It has lots of football facts, player profiles and quizzes.

Who would this book be suitable for?

Anyone aged 7 years or more.

Would you recommend this book?

Yes, I would, because it has interesting facts in it. For example, did you know that Ronaldo, the Real Madrid ace, smashed the record for the most champions league goals in a season, with 17 in 2013-2014?

No, I didn’t know that, Madison, but thanks for telling us! Keep reading the football books – we’ve got loads of children in school who love them.
