A happy reading group!
St Michael’s is a Church of England Aided Primary School for 4 to 11 year olds in Marston, Oxford.
Our school is a happy, calm and exciting place to learn. We are proud of our children’s very responsible, positive and caring attitudes to learning and school life. Our staff strive to ensure that all our children develop a lifelong love of learning so that they can fulfil their dreams and be the best that they can be.
Our comfy reading corner.
In our ongoing commitment to promoting reading within the school, we have created a lovely, large and light new library for our collection of books. Pupils from all classes come in once a week to select new books and listen to a story or two. The library is also open at lunchtime so pupils can come in and browse and chat about reading choices or ask for recommendations.
Libraries are important!
The librarian works the following hours and is happy to talk to children, families and carers about all aspects related to children’s literature and reading for pleasure:
Tuesdays: 9.30am-12pm and 12.30pm-2.30pm
Wednesdays: 9.30am-12pm and 12.30pm-2.30pm
There are all sorts of exciting plans afoot to develop the activities offered by the library, so watch this space!
